I didn't cook anything, but I've never been a big fan of turkey, so it worked out. Plus, I saw a few news reports about people getting into fights over them at grocery stores. No way was I risking losing an arm.

There are a few Halloween specials on tv, mostly stuff about "The top 100 Haunted Houses that you'll never get to visit". It'd work better if all of the houses weren't filled with cliches taken from every horror movie in the past century. Oh wow, a cannibalistic family with someone that looks like Leatherface chasing people with a safe chainsaw. Yeah, way to be original. And for the last time, a 20-something year old women dressed like a doll and reciting some off-key nursery rhyme isn't scary. It stopped being scary after the 2nd time.
It's like people don't even try anymore. Which would be sad if I cared about going to America to go to any of these things.
